Angel Fire Lodging: Condos, Homes and Hotels

If you're looking for Angel Fire lodging and you have never been here before, you may be in for a surprise. Having been to other ski areas (like Colorado, for example), we were used to places that were really built up, lots of glitzy hotels and shops, etc.

It's not like that at all.

At the very base of the ski hill is the Angel Fire Resort, which is a hotel-like property. It's a little older, but I understand it is going to go through renovations soon.

There are also a few condos that are ski-in, ski-out. Then you have about two blocks of other condos that have easy access to the slopes.

Also, all over Angel Fire are cabins and homes that are often rented out during the ski season.

Nothing is terribly far from the ski resort, but if you have small children, you may want to be closer in so you can easily pop back to your room to rest up or grab a snack.

(We own a condo in Snowfire, one of the nicer well-maintained condo units two blocks from the slopes. We rent it out in the winter.)

We recommend Angel Fire vacation condos and homes for your vacation. (And it's not just because we own one!) As parents we find it easier and more convenient to have a place to get spread out and get comfortable, cook at least some meals at home, and enjoy the amenities of a "home away from home."

The Angel Fire Resort is a hotel property at the base of the ski slopes. The hotel offers rooms and suites, each with two queen beds. Pets are welcome.

There is a small indoor swimming pool for the kids, and a relaxinghot tub for the grown ups. Free wi-fi Internet access is also available.
